West Country Autos Ltd takes full responsibility for your vehicle(s) from the moment of loading, throughout secure transit, and until safe unloading. All vehicles are protected under specialist Goods in Transit Insurance, designed specifically for cars, motorbikes, and agricultural vehicles.

Important Notice: We are not liable for any pre-existing issues or undisclosed conditions prior to booking. These include, but are not limited to:

Non-waterproof roofs that may be affected by rain or surface water

Convertible or clipped roofs that cannot be secured properly
-
Doors, boots, or bonnets that do not close correctly
-
Personal belongings left inside the vehicle (not covered under insurance)
Please ensure any such issues are communicated at the time of booking so the driver can be informed and appropriate precautions can be taken where possible.
SAFETY NOTICE:
Only WCA Ltd employees are permitted to walk on ramps or the truck bed. If you choose to do so, it is entirely at your own risk, and no liability will be accepted.
PAYMENTS
All payments must be made either
-
In cash to the driver, or
-
By bank transfer prior to unloading
Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking or if you are an invoiced customer.
COLLECTION AND WAITING TIME
Upon arrival at the collection point, the driver will wait up to 30 minutes for the vehicle to be ready. If this time is exceeded, a waiting charge of £25.00 per hour will be added to the invoice. After the initial 30-minute window, West Country Autos Ltd reserves the right to leave the premises. In such cases, the full quoted fee will still apply or be invoiced accordingly.
Please note, we operate on a strict and time-sensitive schedule. Delays at collection or delivery may impact other bookings and could result in additional charges.
We also reserve the right to refuse loading or unloading if a vehicle is considered unsafe. This decision is made solely by the collection driver.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Customers may be invoiced for any additional transportation-related costs incurred during transit, including but not limited to:

Congestion charges

Toll fees
-
Ferry costs
-
Low-emission zone charges
DELAYS AND LIABILITY
While every effort is made to meet scheduled delivery times, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including:

Traffic incidents
-
Roadworks and Recovery
-
Vehicle breakdowns
-
Severe weather conditions
-
Legal driving hour restrictions (EU regulations)
Heavier trucks operate under tachograph regulations. Drivers are limited to 9 hours of driving per day and must take a 45-minute break every 4.5 hours. In some cases, this may result in next-day delivery where delays are outside our control. These are legal requirements and must be followed at all times.
CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled collection time will incur the full quoted fee, even if the driver is en route or on-site

Cancellations within 72 hours will be charged at 50% of the quoted cost
-
No charge applies for cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance
-
No refunds will be issued once the vehicle has been transported or if collection or delivery details are changed after booking
